VFS0050 Fingerprint-helper crash
*** Error in `fingerprint-helper': double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x00007f1df8002d40 ***
======= Backtrace: =========
December2016 Launchpad added the driver vfs0050 to support 138a:0050 fingerprint reader.
I installed from this link:
The support for this sensor don't work very well. To login with a finger does not work at all. When I am lucky i can login with less then five tries. If it don't work that fast you will need duzends of tries or it will not work at all. If you see the preview picture at login you realize that it seems that the scan image is of very diffent size. It can be not readable at all of very short. Sometimes it is very long. It does not depend how fast I scanned my finger.
Looks like the driver is not working well. But first I would like to eliminate the error message you can see on top. It shows up after login. It doesn't matter I login with the sensor or by putting in my password.
I have beginner level on Ubuntu 16.06.1 and I apologize about my poor english;-)
