Support for Dell E7240
I'm not sure how active this community is, however love the idea of you all sticking it to the people that ignore the people that decide to use Linux.
Is there any plan to support the sensor in Dell Lattitude E7240.
I believe it's a FIPS Fingerprint Reader
I would like to second this option. I've been trying to get the Broadcom FP reader working on my laptop and after some trial and error discovered that its definitely not supported. I'm got a screenshot and more info if desired (say2joe at gmail).
Regardless of the amount of times "Rescan" button is pressed in the GUI, the following device is not recognized as a valid fingerprint reader:
Dell e7240 Fingerprint reader (as seen by the Linux system):
Broadcom Corp. (0xa5c) BCM5880 Secure Applications Processor with fingerprint swipe sensor (0x5801)
