Fingerprint on E480

Received my E480 with Linux Mint 19. Can'get fingerprint working. `lsusb`output is only:

Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 06cb:00a2 Synaptics, Inc.
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 13d3:56a6 IMC Networks
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 8087:0a2a Intel Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Is that a driver/kernel problem?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have the same issue here with my Thinkpad E489 (i5 8th gen, 8GB ram, FH screen) running Ubuntu 18.
I've made sure that the fingerprint sensor is enabled in the bios but still got "No Device Found!" in Fingerprint GUI.

help please !
Thanks

Got my Lenovo Thinkpad E480 today -
first: the Realtech Wifi didn't work, got it working by following --> https://askubuntu.com/questions/1070593/lenovo-thinkpad-e480-no-wifi-adaptor-found-in-ubuntu-18-04/1070645

second: the Synaptics Fingerprint reader didn't work - apparently Synaptics does not have the driver for Ubuntu yet!
